What’s up with the band? Since we released our debut album “Jane On Fire”, ATB has been gigging up a storm around the Greater Toronto Area, performing at venues like The Horseshoe Tavern, Cameron House, The Piston, Revival and Opera House. Upcoming gigs are planned for Lee’s Palace, The Hard Rock Cafe and the iconic Danforth Music Hall (with minipop star Vivian Hicks). We are in studio recording our next single with MC2MusicMedia and have a trip planned to Los Angeles to pick up a music award for our single “Indifference” off the new album. We will be playing at Canadian Music Week in April and are planning on recording several more singles to create a full length album in the Spring/Summer of 2017. The little YouTube band has found its groove!
Who’s the new guitar player? You might have noticed the new guy on the right above. This is Damien Atapattu, our newest addition to the ATB family. Born and raised in the pearl of the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka, Damien grew up in a musical family, and started singing and playing guitar from an early age. As a teenager, he played in several bands, varying from classic rock to heavy metal. He moved to Toronto, Canada in 2008, and progressively played music in various settings, which has taught him to adapt to different styles of music, including rock, reggae, blues and jazz. He is excited to be a part of ATB and is looking forward to the wild ride ahead!
Where can we see you play live? ATB will be playing The Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday Jan 14, 2017 for a Multiple Sclerosis Benefit Concert in support of St. Michael’s Hospital, and then on Jan 28, 2017 back at Lee’s Palace. We will be performing with Vivian Hicks at Lift Off Tour 2017, a LiveNation production, on Feb 10, 2017 at The Danforth Music Hall and then for Canadian Music Week in April!
